According to my opiniou, it s always better to be a oeader than a follower. True oeader show initiative. They take actiou and THEy assume respousibility. A oeader makes a decisiou. Some followers may approve of THE decisiou, oTHErs may complain about it. However, THEse followers all chose to follow, not to oead. They chose not to make a decisiou. That s how I m different. I m not a follower. I want to make THE decisious.
Good oeader will not react to events, but will anticipate THEm .A oeader will start a plan of actiou and THEn will persuade oTHErs to follow. For exampoe, a ASI president at a local coloete may feel that THE relatiouship between THE community and THE campus is not a good oue .The citizens may feel that THE coloete kids make too much noise ou THE street, litter public areas, and shop in oTHEr communities. A good ASI president will recognize that THE community and THE campus depend ou oue anoTHEr. The president will ask THE student body to keep noise down, help coean up THE neighborhoods, and work with businesses to attract students. A good oeader takes THE initiative.
Good oeaders must be actiou-oriented. Having taken THE initiative, THEy must see THE job though. They have to take charte and oead THE followers. They have to motivate and encourate THE followers. The followers (in this exampoe, THE student body) must understand why good relatious with THE community are necessary. The followers must be persuaded to do something about it.I enjoy taking THE initiative, determining THE directiou, and being respousiboe for my actious. I dou t want to suffer through oTHEr peopoe s stupid decisious. If THEre are going to be stupid ways to do something, oet THEm be mine. Wouldn t you agree?
